Dr. Brooks\u2019 rich educational and professional journey provides him with a truly unique and insightful approach to healing.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>He has been a student of QiGong since 1992; this has informed his understanding of how the power of transformation creates change in all aspects of life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His early professional career included serving as a linguist in the U.S. Army which honed his analytical and communication skills. Working as a computer systems engineer further developed a strong foundation in problem-solving and systems thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brooks decided to study Chinese Medicine in-depth when his own experience of receiving acupuncture treatment improved both his physical symptoms and his mental-emotional outlook on life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While continuing to serve as a reserve officer in the U.S. Army, Dr. Brooks completed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Master of Acupuncture from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/muih.edu\/\">Tai Sophia Institute<\/a>, 2012<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medical QiGong Practitioner Certificate from&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.3treasureshealing.com\/index.html\">Dr. Lisa VanOstrand<\/a>, 2012<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master of Oriental Medicine from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/muih.edu\/\">Maryland University of Integrative Health<\/a>, 2015<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chinese Dietary Studies with&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.andrewsterman.com\/\">Andrew Sterman<\/a>, 2020 to 2021<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Doctor of Chinese Energetic Medicine from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.daoistmagic.com\/doctor-of-chinese-energetic-medicine-certificate-syllabi\">The Temple of Change and Transformation<\/a>, 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>From 2013 to 2017, Dr. Brooks contributed to academia as an Adjunct Faculty member at Maryland University of Integrative Health teaching in the Acupuncture and Nutrition Programs. Currently, Brooks teaches ongoing courses through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elementsoflifeinstitute.com\/\">Elements of Life Institute<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Brooks\u2019 spiritual path is integral to his work.
